Ernesto, the most wanted mafia boss in the region, dies in a sudden accident, leaving his criminal empire without a leader. In the aftermath, his wife Regina, along with her mother, daughter, and sisters-in-law, are arrested as accomplices in his drug trafficking operations. Although most of them are released due to lack of evidence, Regina remains imprisoned simply for being the wife of the capo. When Regina is finally freed, she refuses to disappear into the shadows.
