Overview

A film about the figure of João da Baiana, the Brazilian samba pioneer who, in an informal conversation, tells us the history of samba from the beginning. On the side of pioneers like Donga and Pixinguinha, he goes on to describe picturesque passages of his life alongside important figures like Pinheiro Machado, Santos Dumont and the beginnings of our popular music.
