Brandon, a disconnected teen numbed by the violence of video games, visits his grandfather Rob, a retired veteran shaped by the memories he keeps tucked away behind old medals and a fireplace that never quite goes out. When Brandon begins to ask questions, Rob opens up about his time in Vietnam—stories of loss, fear, and brotherhood that he’s carried for decades.
